Risk Assessment
Treatment
Outline of
the story: Who – There will be a presenter, camera man, audio man, autocue man,
a guest speaker, interviewer (sound man) and the students on the street.
Where – The main part of the news report will be in the TV studio. This is in
the Queens Building Room 0.32. However some footage will be in the street where
questions will be asked to students. This is going to be filmed outside the
Student Union to give a good background but also so that the sources are people
who are studying and are able to answer the questions well. Filming people on
the street is done as the News would have some pre-filmed footage that it is
able to go to give the production breaks and the presenters a rest break.
When – The Tv Studio will be filmed on the 13th at 2oclock till 4oclock. The questions for the student will be asked on the 5th. However if the weather conditions aren’t good then the questions will be moved as it needs to have good lighting outside, I don’t want to get the equipment damaged, but also people are less likely to stop and answer questions if it is raining.
Why – This is so that the news report has some footage to go off to as it needs to be informative but have more than one person’s point of view.
How – It will all be filmed on one camera from different angles in the studio, so the script will have to be done more than once. The people in the street will be filmed at a medium shot with space in the shot at where they are looking. This is to give a nice shot like in a documentary, it will also be useful to put their names on screen. They won’t be looking at the camera but the person asking the questions to give a feel of an interview.
